Thanks for taking the time to get to know a little more about me.

Although I was born in California and spent my childhood in Buffalo, New York, I “grew up” in Southeast Texas. I became interested in law during high school, when I read Twelve Angry Men and wrote a research paper about the legal defense of Jack Ruby after he shot Lee Harvey Oswald. While attending Lamar University, I worked as a runner, law librarian, and network administrator for an insurance defense law firm in Beaumont, Texas. These experiences attracted me to the study of law.

In 1998, I earned my law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas and became licensed to practice law in Texas. After obtaining my law license, I worked for law firms as a litigation and transactional attorney in Beaumont, Houston, and then in Austin.

I always knew I wanted to open my own practice one day and, after years learning the law and serving clients as a member of larger law firms, I formed Pajak Law, PLLC in 2013. Pajak Law, PLLC is an Austin, Texas based law firm serving the needs of families, individuals, and businesses.

I am primarily an estate planning, probate, REAL ESTATE, and business attorney.

My clients include all types of individuals and businesses. However, within these general areas, my practice has an emphasis on representing small to medium sized businesses and high net worth individuals (physicians, executives, entrepreneurs) and musical artists.

My entertainment clients include singer-songwriters, bands, producers, investors, filmmakers, radio and screen talent, authors, heirs, creditors, gaming companies, and technology entrepreneurs.

Since 1998, I have protected my client’s legal interests and intellectual property rights in court, during contract negotiations, prosecuting Trademarks, enforcing Copyright rights, by planning musical legacies through Wills and Trusts, and by strategically forming and maintaining their business entities.

In addition, I use my legal experience to mediate complex business, entertainment and technology disputes.

What sets Pajak Law apart from others is my personal service. At Pajak Law, my clients are not just a means to an end.

My role is to serve as an educator, protector, and strategic advisor.

My practice is solely based on referrals from current clients, former clients, attorneys, financial advisors, and most importantly, friendships.

Outside of the law, I enjoy giving back to the community. I have served as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas School of Law since 2019. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with eager law students. Prior to teaching at the University of Texas School of Law, I taught a course on the Legal Aspects of the Entertainment Industry at the Austin Community College Music Business, Performance and Technology Department for many years.

I have served as Assistant Scoutmaster to my son’s Boy Scout Troop and volunteered my time to assist the nationally ranked James Bowie High School Outdoor Performing Ensemble (Marching Band).

When I am not lawyering or giving back to the community, I do the best I can to enjoy the quality of life in Austin with my wife and three children.

I am a PADI Certified Rescue Diver and enjoy golf, pickleball, mountain biking, testing my limits in triathlon events, and photography. When all is said and done, if there are a few minutes to spare at the end of the evening, I’ll relax with some songwriting and guitar playing, which always brings me back to my Southeast Texas roots.

Thanks for getting to know a little about me. I look forward to meeting you in person!
